Genetic engineering in fiction

Genetic engineering in fiction means changing someone’s DNA to give them special abilities, or to make them look or act differently. In stories, this can mean that a scientist might change the DNA of a regular person like you or me, so that they turn into a superhero, monster, or something else. It can also mean that a group of people might play around with the genes of animals to make them bigger, faster, or more intelligent. In either case, genetic engineering is like a super power that can be used to create new and exciting things.
