Genetic recombination

Genetic recombination is like a mix and match game. Everyone is born with their own set of genes that help make them who they are. But when two parents have a baby, the baby gets some of their genes from each parent, as if the two sets have been mixed together. This is called genetic recombination. The baby's genes are different from either parent but similar at the same time. It's like when you take two paint colors and mix them together – you get a new color that's a combination of both.
