Geoid

Geoid is like an imaginary "sea level" on Earth that starts at the center of the Earth and goes to the surface. It's not a real sea level, but is used to measure the height at a certain location that is above or below sea level. By comparing the height of a place to the geoid, we can figure out how high it is above or below sea level.
