Also, some bigger countries (like Russia, China and the US) want to make sure that they have a say in what happens on the playground, because they might want to trade with some countries or have military bases there. This can make things even MORE complicated!
So, geopolitics in Central Asia is basically all about how the different countries work together (or don't work together) to try and get what they want on this big playground.
