Georgetown Seawall

The Georgetown seawall is a big wall made of concrete and rocks that is built next to the ocean in Georgetown, Guyana. It is there to protect the land and the people from the waves and water that might come in during a big storm or high tide.

Think of it like a giant fence or barrier that keeps the water from flooding the streets and houses nearby. The seawall is built really strong with a lot of big rocks and cement so that it can withstand the force of the waves crashing against it.

People can walk or run on the top of the seawall and enjoy the view of the ocean. The seawall is an important part of Georgetown because it helps keep the people there safe and helps prevent damage to the buildings and homes near the ocean.
