Gerard K. O'Neill

Gerard K. O'Neill was a physicist who dreamed of a future where people could live, work, and explore in space. He came up with the idea of creating large, artificial homes in space called “Islands in Space”, which would be powered by solar energy and would have enough room to comfortably support large populations of people. He also proposed a way to use the materials of the Moon and asteroids to build these islands in space and create a sustainable, new future for humankind.
