Gettone

A "gettone" (which means "token" in Italian) is a little piece of plastic or metal that you use instead of real money. When you go to play games at an arcade or use a vending machine, you put a gettone in the slot instead of a coin or bill. This way, you don't have to carry around a bunch of money or worry about losing it. Think of gettone like a special coin that you only use at certain places.
