Ghosts in Filipino culture

Oh hi there! So, you know how sometimes people think they see or feel things that aren't actually there, like a monster in the closet or a ghost in the room? Well, in Filipino culture, the idea of ghosts is very important and something that people believe in a lot.

Ghosts are thought to be spirits of people who have died, but their spirits still linger on Earth. Sometimes people even think that ghosts can still do things like talk or move objects around. In Filipino culture, there are many different types of ghosts that people believe in.

One type of ghost is called a "kapre." This is an especially big ghost that is said to live in trees and smoke cigars. Some people think that if you see a kapre, it means that something bad is going to happen.

Another type of ghost is called a "white lady." This is a ghost that looks like a woman dressed in white clothes. Some people think that if you see a white lady, it means that you are in danger.

Some people even believe that ghosts can bring good luck or bad luck, depending on their mood. So sometimes people will leave offerings for the ghosts, like food or drinks, to try and make them happy.

Overall, ghosts are a big part of Filipino culture and something that many people believe in. But remember, even though ghosts can be scary, they are just stories and not real. So don't worry too much about them!
