Okay kiddo, so when you give someone a present, you're doing something nice for them, right? It's like saying "I appreciate you" or "I want to make you happy." That's called a gift.

But did you know that there are rules about gifts? That's right, even grown-ups have to follow them! Here's what they mean:

First, when you give someone a gift, you can't take it back. Once it's given, it's the other person's to keep. That means you can't say "sorry, I changed my mind" and try to get it back later.

Second, gifts have to be freely given. That means you can't make someone do something else in exchange for the gift. For example, you can't say "I'll only give you this toy if you clean your room."

Finally, gifts can't be used to trick people. You can't give someone something and then later say "aha, now you owe me something!" That's not nice or fair.

That's what "gift law" means. It's all about making sure that people give presents the right way, without being mean or sneaky about it. So the next time you get a gift, remember to say thank you and enjoy it!
