Gilgamesh

Gilgamesh was a really old king who lived a very long time ago in a land called Mesopotamia, which is now known as Iraq. People used to tell stories about him because he was very brave and strong, but also very proud and sometimes mean.

One of the most famous stories about Gilgamesh what that he went on a long journey to find something called immortality. This means that he wanted to live forever and never die. He heard that there was a magical plant that could make this happen, so he set off on a journey to find it.
