Gin

Gin is a special kind of alcohol that is made from grains, like wheat or barley, and flavored with special ingredients called botanicals.

So basically, people take the grains and mix them with water to make a kind of mash. They then add special yeast that helps turn the sugar in the mash into alcohol. After the alcohol is made, they distill it, which means they boil it to create steam, collect the steam, and then condense it back into liquid form.

Once the alcohol is distilled, they add the botanicals, which are like special plants and herbs that give gin its unique taste. Some common botanicals include juniper berries, which give gin its signature piney flavor, as well as things like coriander, citrus peel, and angelica root.

Finally, the gin is bottled up and ready to drink! Some people like to drink gin on its own, while others like to mix it with things like tonic water or other juices to make delicious cocktails.
