ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Give Us Our Skeletons

Okay, imagine that you are a house, and inside that house there are little sticks that hold everything up. These sticks are your bones, and they help your body stand up tall and do all sorts of things like run, jump or even hug your parents.

Now, a skeleton is like your very own set of sticks or bones that help you move and do all the amazing things you can do. Your skeleton is made of many different bones - some big, some small, and all of them work together to make sure you can stand up, walk around, and even play with your friends.

Your skulls protects your brain and lets you see and hear, while your ribcage protects your heart and lungs. And just like how you can build things with lego blocks, your skeleton can also move around and bend all sorts of ways – your elbows, knees, and even your neck!

So, in summary, a skeleton is like the set of sticks or bones that hold our bodies together and help us move around and do fun things. It’s a very important part of our bodies!
