Glik v. Cunniffe

Okay kiddo, so there are two people, Glik and Cunniffe. Glik saw some police officers in Boston, where they live. Glik thought the police officers were doing something wrong and he started recording them with his phone. Cunniffe was also there and he told Glik to stop recording the police officers.

Now here's the twist: Glik said that he has the right to record the police officers because it is his right to free speech, which means he can say and record whatever he wants as long as it's not hurting anyone.

But Cunniffe said that Glik had to stop recording because it was interfering with the police officers' job and it could be dangerous.

So they went to court to figure out who was right. The court decided that Glik was allowed to record the police officers because it's a part of his free speech. The court also said that recording police officers is important because it helps keep them accountable for their actions.

So now, people are allowed to record the police officers if they think something is not right, but they still have to be careful not to interfere with the police officers' job or put themselves in danger.
