Global Compact for Migration

The Global Compact for Migration is like a big agreement, or promise, that lots of countries make together about how they will work with people who are moving from one country to another.

It's kind of like when you make a plan with your friends about what games you want to play, and everyone agrees to follow the same rules.

The countries that are part of the agreement promise to treat people who are moving, or migrating, in a fair and respectful way. They promise to try and prevent people from being forced to leave their home countries, and to protect people who are moving to other countries.

The Compact also sets some guidelines for how countries can work together to make sure that migration is safe and benefits everyone involved.
