Global Simplicity Index

The global simplicity index is a list that compares and ranks different countries based on how easy it is to do certain things there. These things might include starting a business, getting a job, paying taxes, or importing and exporting goods.

Imagine you and your friends are trying to build a fort. Some places might be really easy to build in because they have lots of sticks and rocks and no one bothers you. Other places might be harder because there are no sticks or rocks or too many people around.

Similarly, some countries are really easy to start a business in because they have simple laws and regulations, and few obstacles or fees to pay. Other countries might be much harder because they have lots of paperwork, bureaucracy and rules to follow.

The global simplicity index rates countries based on how easy it is to do things like start a business, get permits, pay taxes, and even just open a bank account. The higher a country is on the list, the easier it is to do these things. This can help people know which countries might be better for starting a business, working, or investing.
