Okay kiddo, sometimes people can be really mean and hurtful to each other. Unfortunately, that can happen even in places where we expect people to be nice to each other, like in a community of Christians who follow Jesus.
If someone is being mean or hurting you, it's important to tell a grown-up right away. This could be a teacher, a friend's mom or dad, or someone at church whom you trust. These people are there to help you and keep you safe.
It's also okay to talk to God about it. When you pray, you can tell God how you feel and ask Him to help you. He loves you very much and wants you to be safe and happy.
Sometimes the person who is being mean might say things like "God wants me to do this," as an excuse for their behavior. But that's not true. God wants us to treat others with kindness and respect, and He never wants us to hurt other people.
If someone is using God as an excuse to hurt you or someone else, they are not behaving in a godly way. Godly response to abuse means speaking up against it, protecting those who are being hurt, and showing the abuser that their behavior is not okay. It's important to remember that you deserve to be safe and happy, and that God is always on your side.
