ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Going Cardboard

Going cardboard is the process of turning old and used cardboard boxes into something new and useful. It's like when you take old toys and turn them into something new like a robot or a spaceship.

First, we collect all the old cardboard boxes lying around the house or at the store. Then, we use a special machine called a baler to compress the boxes into neat blocks. These blocks are then taken to a factory where they are shredded into tiny pieces.

Next, we mix these tiny pieces with water and other chemicals to create a slurry. The slurry is poured into a machine that flattens it out and dries it into big sheets. These sheets are then cut into smaller pieces that we can use to make new cardboard boxes or even other things like furniture or insulation for our homes.

So now, instead of throwing away all those old cardboard boxes, we can turn them into something new and useful! It's a great way to help the environment by reducing waste and using resources in a sustainable way.
