Gold reserves of Norway

Okay, so imagine that you have a piggy bank. Whenever you get some money, you put it in your piggy bank so that you can save it up for something really special.

Well, Norway also has a piggy bank for something special – except instead of a piggy bank, they have a special building called a "vault". And instead of money, they have something called "gold".

Gold is a special type of metal that is very valuable because it is very rare – kind of like how a special toy or candy might be really valuable to you because it's hard to find.

Norway has a lot of this special metal, so they decided to put it in their special vault to keep it safe. They also made sure to keep track of how much gold they had, so that they would know if anyone tried to take some.

Having gold can be helpful for a country because it can be used to buy things or to pay off debts. So Norway keeps their gold in their special vault and protects it very carefully.
