Golden Liberty

Golden liberty was a type of freedom that people in ancient Poland had. It meant they were allowed to make their own decisions and choose their own leaders.

Imagine you're playing a game with your friends, and your friend gets to pick what game you play next. With golden liberty, you would get to choose what game to play instead of your friend.

Back then, Poland used to be ruled by Kings who had lots of power. But with golden liberty, the people also had a say in what happened in their country.

It was called "golden" because it was a very valuable freedom that people cherished. They wanted to keep it and protect it from being taken away.
