Golden age of video arcade games

Back when Mommy and Daddy were younger, there were special places called arcades where people could go and play video games. It was a really fun time called the "golden age" of video arcade games.

These games were different from the ones you play on your tablet or phone. They were big and fancy machines that you could only play by putting coins in them. The games had super cool graphics and sounds that made it feel like you were inside the game.

One of the most famous games from this time was called "Pac-Man." It was a game where you played as a yellow circle with a mouth and you had to eat little dots while running away from ghosts. People loved playing Pac-Man so much that it became really popular and even had its own song and TV show!

Another game that was super popular during this time was called "Space Invaders." In this game, you were a spaceship and had to shoot at aliens that were trying to invade Earth. People loved it because it was challenging and made them feel like they were protecting the planet.

A lot of people liked playing video arcade games during the golden age because it was a fun way to spend time with friends. Some people even became really good at the games and started competing in tournaments.

Even though we don't have as many video arcades anymore, the games from the golden age are still really special and lots of people still play them today. They are a reminder of a time when video games were a brand new and exciting thing that everyone could enjoy.
