Golden triangle (composition)

Imagine you’re drawing a picture and you want to make sure it looks good. One way is to divide your paper into three parts with lines, like this (draws triangle on paper):

Those lines make a triangle, and it’s called the golden triangle.

You can put the most important parts of your picture at the points where the lines meet (puts dots at the points of the triangle). This makes things look balanced and pleasing to the eye.
