Goryeo-Khitan Wars
The Goryeo-Khitan Wars were like big battles between two groups of people. The Goryeo people were living in a place called Korea, and the Khitan people were living in a place called China. They were fighting because they both wanted control over some land in the middle.
This fighting happened a long time ago, when I was not even born yet. It started in the year one thousand, and went on for many years. The Goryeo people were worried that the Khitan people would take over their land, and the Khitan people were worried that the Goryeo people would take over their land.
