Government procurement in the United States

Government procurement is how the government gets the goods and services it needs. The United States government has certain rules and regulations to make sure it is spending taxpayer money as wisely as possible. Basically, when the government needs something (like computers or shoes), it has to go through a process to figure out what company it will buy those things from. It compares different companies and different products to make sure it is getting the best deal. It looks at things like quality, price, and other features to decide who to award the contract to.
