ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Grand Riemann hypothesis

Okay, so imagine you are a detective trying to solve a mystery. The mystery is about numbers, and you want to know if there is a pattern or a rule that can help you understand how all the different numbers work together.

The Grand Riemann Hypothesis is like a big clue that might help you solve this mystery. It is named after a guy named Bernhard Riemann who is like a very smart detective that lived a long time ago.

The hypothesis says that if you have a really, really big list of all the prime numbers (which are special numbers that can only be divided by 1 and themselves), and you put them in a special order, then there is a formula that can predict where all the other numbers will be on the list.

This might sound really boring, but it's actually really important because it could help us do things like encrypt messages and keep them safe from hackers.

But, the thing is, nobody has been able to prove the Grand Riemann Hypothesis yet. Everyone has been trying for a very long time, but it's still a mystery that nobody has solved.
