Granulocyte

Granulocytes are a type of special white blood cells that work to protect your body from harmful germs like bacteria and viruses. They are like superheroes that fight off the bad guys to keep you healthy!

These cells are called granulocytes because they have tiny granules (or little sachets filled with special substances) inside them that they use like weapons to attack the bad germs. They also have a special job of engulfing the bad guys (a process known as phagocytosis) to keep your body safe.

There are three types of granulocytes, each with their own special powers: neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils. Neutrophils are like the first responders, always ready to attack any harmful bacteria that get into your body. Eosinophils are more like the cleanup crew, getting rid of any harmful substances like toxins, allergens, or parasites. Finally, basophils are like the signalers, releasing special chemicals that alert other immune cells to help fight the intruders.

In summary, granulocytes are like superheroes that protect your body by attacking harmful germs using special weapons called granules!
