Grasscycling

Grasscycling is when we leave grass clippings on the lawn after mowing. It's like a tasty snack for the grass that helps it grow!

You know how we sometimes leave our leftovers on the plate because we don't want to waste food and because it's good for us? Well, grass clippings are like leftovers for the lawn.

When we mow the grass, we usually collect the clippings and throw them away. But if we leave them on the lawn, they act like a natural fertilizer. The clippings are full of nutrients that help the grass grow thicker and greener.

Grasscycling is good for the environment too! When we throw away grass clippings, they usually end up in a landfill where they don't break down easily. This can create a lot of pollution. But if we leave the clippings on the lawn, they break down naturally and help create healthy soil.

So, the next time you mow the lawn, try leaving the grass clippings on the ground. It's good for the grass, good for the environment, and helps keep our world healthy and green!
