Greek Cypriots
So, there is a place called Cyprus where people live. Some of these people are called Greek Cypriots. They are called Greek Cypriots because they are from a group of people called Greeks who lived in Cyprus for a very long time.
Greek Cypriots speak a language called Greek, and they have their own way of doing things. They eat different foods, they celebrate different holidays, and they have different traditions.
Sometimes, they have arguments with another group of people in Cyprus called Turkish Cypriots. Even though they live on the same island, they have different ideas about how things should be done. This can cause problems because both groups want different things.
But, even though they may disagree sometimes, both Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots are people who want to live in peace and happiness.
