Green design (also called sustainable design) is a way of making things in a way that helps to protect the environment. It means using natural materials, like wood and stone, instead of synthetic materials like plastic. It also means using energy-efficient materials and designs that don't waste energy, like solar panels to generate electricity or using windows to let in natural light instead of using electric lights. Green design also includes choosing products that are made in a way that doesn't create too much pollution, uses fewer resources (like water or petroleum), and doesn't hurt animals or plants. Green design helps us use our resources more wisely, so that we can have more of them in the future!
