Green flag

Okay, so imagine you are running a race with a bunch of other kids. When you start the race, the adult in charge of the race will wave a flag. This flag is called the green flag. It means it's time to start running! Just like when a green light comes on at an intersection, it means it's time for the cars to start moving. So, when you see the green flag, you know it's time to start running as fast as you can to try and win the race.
