Once upon a time, there was a lady named Zona Heaster Shue. She lived in a place called Greenbrier County in West Virginia. One day, she got married to a man named Erasmus Shue. But, there was a problem. After a little while of them getting married, Zona passed away. The doctors said that she died because of a heart disease.
After Zona was buried, her mother kept having dreams about her dead daughter. She kept saying that her daughter's ghost came to her in her dream and told her that her husband is the one who killed her.
The mother of Zona was very worried and asked for help from the police. They started doing an investigation on this matter. While examining the body of Zona, they noticed something odd. Her neck was twisted, and she had bruises on her body. This means that she didn’t die from a heart disease.
Finally, they found out that Zona’s husband, Erasmus Shue, was responsible for her death. His motive was to get rid of her because he was in love with someone else. Because of the evidence found, he was convicted of murder and sent to jail.
So, the Greenbrier Ghost is the story about a lady who died suspiciously, and her ghost came to her mother to let her know that it was her husband who killed her. The mother's dream helped the police solve the case, and the killer was caught and convicted.
