Grigory Margulis

Grigory Margulis was a Russian mathematician who lived from 1946 to 2017. He was famous because he solved a problem called the Oppenheim conjecture, which had been unsolved for a long time. This problem was about how shapes can fit together perfectly in a certain way. Grigory figured out how shapes can fit together perfectly, and that's why he was so famous.
