ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Group on International Perspectives on Governmental Aggression and Peace

Imagine you and your friends are playing a game, and sometimes someone cheats, steals, or hits others. That's called aggression, and it's not happy for everyone. But sometimes you all agree to follow certain rules and work together to make sure everyone is happy, and that's called peace.

Now, imagine that there are many countries in the world, each with their own leaders and rules. Sometimes those leaders cheat, steal, or hurt other countries, and that's called governmental aggression. It's not happy for everyone either, and it can lead to big problems like wars or conflicts.

To try and make sure that everyone is happy and lives in peace, there are groups of people from different countries who talk to each other about how to stop this aggression and promote peace. They share ideas, talk about problems, and find ways to work together in different situations. This group is called the International Perspectives on Governmental Aggression and Peace.

Their job is to help countries find peaceful solutions to problems instead of fighting with each other. They try to make sure everyone's voice is heard and that everyone is treated fairly. They believe that everyone can work together to make the world a better and more peaceful place to live in.
