Gudimallam Lingam

Okay kiddo, so there is a special place in India called Gudimallam and there is a special thing there called the Lingam. The Lingam is a sacred symbol that represents the Hindu god Lord Shiva. It looks kind of like a tall cylinder with a rounded top.

The Lingam at Gudimallam is very old, over 2,000 years old! People go to Gudimallam to see the Lingam and to offer prayers and offerings to Lord Shiva. They think that by doing this, they will have good luck and blessings.

The Lingam at Gudimallam is also very unique because it has some inscriptions on it. Inscriptions are like special writings that tell a story or give information. The inscriptions on the Gudimallam Lingam are in a very old language called Sanskrit.
