Guglielmo Marconi was an Italian scientist and inventor. He lived from 1874 to 1937. He is most famous for inventing the radio, which allows for people to communicate with each other at a distance without having to use a phone or other electronic device. Marconi discovered that signals could be sent through the air by sending electrical waves through wire antennas. This made it possible to communicate with aircraft, ships, and even people who are far away. The invention of the radio changed the way that people communicate and led to the creation of radios, TVs, cell phones and more.
