Gulliver's Travels is a book in which a man named Gulliver goes on adventures to different places. In each place that he goes to, he meets different kinds of people and sees different things. These places are not real, they are made up by the author of the book, Jonathan Swift.
In the first place that Gulliver visits, everything is very small. The people are called Lilliputians and they are only six inches tall! Gulliver is very big compared to them and they tie him up with ropes to keep him from moving around too much. They use him to fight their enemies and they even make him their king.
In the second place that Gulliver goes to, everything is very big. The people are called Brobdingnagians and they are huge! Gulliver is tiny compared to them and they keep him as a pet. He has to be careful not to get stepped on or eaten by animals.
In the third place that Gulliver visits, there are talking horses called Houyhnhnms that are very smart and kind. They don't like the other creatures in their land called Yahoos because they are dirty and mean. Gulliver tries to be friends with the horses but he starts to think that he is more like a Yahoo than a Houyhnhnm.
The book is a story about Gulliver's adventures and the things he learns along the way. It is a very famous book that has been around for a long time and people still read it today.
