HMS Britomart
HMS Britomart was a big boat that belonged to the Royal Navy a very long time ago. It was used to travel around the world and visit different countries. It was like a big car, but it could float on the water instead of drive on roads.
The people who worked on the boat were called sailors. They had to work really hard to make sure the boat sailed properly and stayed safe in the water. They would also use big, long sticks called oars to help move the boat around.
HMS Britomart was also important during times of war because it had big cannons on it. These cannons could shoot big, heavy balls called cannonballs. Even though it was important during war, it was just as important during peace because it could help protect ships from other countries.
Eventually, HMS Britomart became too old and was no longer useful. Now it is a historic artifact that people can go see in a museum.
