ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Haggling

Haggling is when you try to get a better deal or price for something you want to buy by talking to the person selling it.

Imagine going to buy candy from your friend. You see a big pack with lots of different flavors that you really want. Your friend tells you it costs $10. You really want it, but you don't have enough money to pay $10.

So you start to haggle. You say something like, "Can I have it for $8 instead?" Your friend might say, "No, it's worth $10." But you keep talking and offer to pay $9. Your friend might finally agree and you get the candy for a cheaper price than you started with.

Haggling is like a game of bargaining, where you try to persuade the seller to sell the item you want for a lower price. It can be fun and you might even end up getting a really good deal!
