Hagia Sophia, Trabzon

Hagia Sophia is a really old and big church that was built a long, long time ago in a place called Constantinople, which is now called Istanbul. It was made by powerful people called emperors who were leaders of the city. They wanted to have a grand place of worship, so they made it very big and beautiful with lots of decorations and art.

Back then, lots of people were Christian, which means they believed in Jesus, and the Hagia Sophia was the most important church for them. Lots of important events were held there like weddings, funerals, and big religious celebrations. It was also where the emperor was crowned, which means he became the leader of the city.

Eventually, lots of things happened like wars and people believing in different religions, so the Hagia Sophia stopped being a church and became a mosque. A mosque is a special building where Muslim people pray and worship, and they made changes to the artwork and decorations because they believed different things.

Nowadays, the Hagia Sophia has become a museum and people from all over the world can visit and learn about its history. It's still really big and beautiful and has lots of interesting things to see.

Trabzon is another city in Turkey, which is far away from Istanbul where the Hagia Sophia is located. It's also a place with lots of history and culture, and it's famous for its beautiful scenery with mountains and the sea. It's a really nice place to visit if you want to learn about different customs and try new foods. But it doesn't have a famous church like the Hagia Sophia.
