Hand of Glory

The hand of glory is a spooky item from a long time ago that people believed had magical powers. It was usually made from the hand of a criminal who had been punished for doing something wrong. The hand would be cut off after the person died, and then it would be dried and preserved.

People believed that if they had a hand of glory, they could use it to do things like make themselves invisible or open locks. To do this, they would light candles made from the fat of the criminal's body and then wave the hand around. The idea was that the hand of glory would make them invisible or give them special powers, kind of like a magic wand.

Nowadays, we know that there's no such thing as magic, and we don't believe that hands of glory have any special powers. But they're still interesting to think about as a spooky artifact from a time when people believed in things like magic and witchcraft.
