Hard hat

A hard hat is a kind of special hat that people wear to protect their head and face. It's made of hard material, like strong plastic or metal, so it can keep your head and face safe if something falls or explodes- like rocks, tools or pieces of wood- near your head. Hard hats also protect people from getting hit by objects. So, if you ever see someone wearing a hard hat, you know they're wearing it to keep them safe!
