Head-marking language

Head-marking language is like a secret code that uses little words to show who is doing things in a sentence. When we talk, we use words like "he," "she," or "they" to refer to people or things that are doing something. But in head-marking languages, these little words are not used like we usually do. Instead, the little words are added to the main word in the sentence, to show who is doing what.

So, if we want to say "he is running" in a head-marking language, we might take the word for "run" and add a little bit to it to show that "he" is doing the running. It might be something like "run-he." This might sound strange to us, but it works just as well for people who speak these languages.

Head-marking languages can be found in many different parts of the world, including parts of Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Even though they may seem different from the way we talk, they are just as valuable and important to their speakers.
