Healthcare in the United Kingdom

Healthcare in the United Kingdom is a system of healthcare services provided by doctors and nurses to help people stay healthy and get better if they’re sick. Everyone living in the United Kingdom is entitled to free healthcare services through the National Health Service (NHS). This means you don’t have to pay for most of the medical services you need. When you go to see the doctor, you might have to wait in line, but your doctor will not charge you for your consultation or the medical services you receive. Different kinds of medical services, such as operations and medicines, may also be free. You may have to pay a small fee for some services, like dentistry, but you can get help to pay for these if you have a low-income. Some services, such as private care, are not provided by the NHS and must be paid for.
