Heat stabilization

Heat stabilization is a process where you use heat to make sure a material will keep its shape. For example, when you make a toy out of clay, it needs to be baked in the oven to make sure it doesn't change shape. Heat stabilization is also used to make sure a material doesn't break easily. This means that if something made out of clay is heated until it's hard, it will be less likely to break when you use it.
