Height above ground level

Height above ground level means the distance between the ground and something else that is above it. Think about how tall you are compared to the ground. If you stand up, you are a certain distance away from the ground. That distance is your height above ground level.

There are many things that can have a height above ground level. Trees, buildings, airplanes, and even playground equipment at the park. You can measure how high something is by using a special tool like a tape measure or a ruler.

When someone says something is "20 feet above ground level", it means that there is a distance of 20 feet between the ground and that thing. This can be important for many reasons, like making sure airplanes fly at a safe height, or building structures that are tall enough to fit people or equipment inside.

So, height above ground level is basically just how far something is from the ground. It's important to know this information so we can make sure things are safe and practical for us to use.
