Heinrich event

Okay, imagine you are playing with a lot of blocks. Sometimes, all of a sudden, a few blocks fall down and create a big mess. This is kind of like what happens during a Heinrich Event.

A Heinrich Event is a time period where a lot of icebergs break off from glaciers and float into the ocean. When this happens, it creates a lot of cold water and messes up the way things usually are.

Scientists think that Heinrich Events happened a long time ago, during the last ice age, when the Earth was much colder than it is now. They also think that these events may have affected how the ocean and atmosphere worked together.

So essentially, a Heinrich Event is when a bunch of icebergs break off and cause disruption in the ocean, and it happened a long time ago during the last ice age.
