Heisenbug

A Heisenbug is a type of computer bug (a problem or mistake in a computer program) that disappears or is hard to find when you try to find it. It is named Heisenbug after a famous character from the TV show Breaking Bad, Walter White, who went by the nickname Heisenberg. The idea behind the name Heisenbug is that the bug "disappears" when you try to catch it, just like Walter White often slipped away from the police when they tried to catch him. Finding these types of bugs can be very difficult so it's important to be very careful when writing computer programs to avoid creating them.
