ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Henotheistic aspects of Hinduism

Okay kiddo, let me explain henotheism in Hinduism. Hinduism is a religion from India and it has many gods and goddesses. Henotheism is when people worship one god at a time, but they believe in many gods.

Imagine you have a lot of toys, but today you decide to play with only one toy. That's like henotheism in Hinduism. People choose one god to focus on, but they still believe in all the other gods too.

For example, some people worship Lord Shiva, who is the god of destruction, but they still believe in other gods like Lord Vishnu, who is the protector of the world.

So, henotheism in Hinduism means that even though people mostly worship one god, they still believe in and respect all the other gods and goddesses too.
