ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hephthalite Empire

The Hephthalite Empire was a group of people who lived a long time ago in parts of Asia like Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. They were known as the "white Huns" because they were related to the Huns who lived in Europe but they had a lighter complexion.

Imagine you have a group of friends with different toys and you all want to play together. The Hephthalites were like a big group of friends who had different cultures, religions, and languages, but they all wanted to live together and be peaceful.

They built a big empire that included many different areas and people from different backgrounds. They were really good at horseback riding and warfare, which helped them conquer more lands and people.

But, like in any group of friends, some people wanted more power than others. Some leaders wanted to be in charge of everything, while others preferred to share the power. This caused problems and conflicts, and eventually, the empire fell apart.

Overall, the Hephthalites were an important group of people who lived a long time ago and left a mark on history.
