Higher education in Iran

Okay kiddo, imagine you're in a country called Iran, and you finished school. If you want to learn more things and become an expert in a certain field like engineering, medicine, or law, you have to go to a special type of school called a higher education institution.

In Iran, there are two main types of higher education institutions: universities and technical and vocational schools. A university is a big school that offers a variety of subjects to study, while a technical and vocational school is focused on teaching skills for a particular job or industry.

To get into a higher education institution in Iran, you need to study really hard in high school and get good grades in your final exams. Then, you have to take a special exam called the Konkur, which is a nationwide test that thousands of students take every year.

If you do well on the Konkur, you'll have a chance to apply to the higher education institution of your choice. Once you're accepted, you'll spend about 4-6 years studying and taking lots of exams. When you graduate, you'll get a degree that proves you're an expert in your field.

Higher education in Iran is really important because it opens up a lot of opportunities for people to have successful careers and make money. It's also important for the country because it helps to develop a skilled workforce and promote innovation and progress.
