Himawari 8

So, there is a really cool thing in the sky called the Himawari 8 satellite. It's like a big camera that takes pictures of the Earth from really, REALLY high up. It's so high up that you can see the whole world at once!

The Himawari 8 satellite takes pictures of the Earth all day and all night, even when it's dark outside. And the pictures it takes are SUPER clear and detailed. We can use these pictures to learn all sorts of things about the weather, like if it's going to rain or if there's a big storm coming.

But, the Himawari 8 doesn't just take pictures. It also helps us track things like hurricanes, typhoons, and other big storms. With Himawari 8, we can see these storms from really far away and know where they're headed.

Overall, Himawari 8 is a really important tool that helps us learn about the Earth and stay safe during big weather events.
